Just had this out for 5 days backpacking. I got the HP version because there is less netting to let in cold air. This feature, along with the full rain fly kept me quite cozy down to about 30 degrees Fahrenheit. At the height of summer, this tent might bee too hot....even without the rain-fly.

Other advantages are the two doors that allow one person to leave the tent without climbing over the other. Also, it is free standing. When you are camping in rocky ground being freestanding is a real help.

For one person, there is a very generous amount of room. The lightness of the HP version mitigates to some degree the extra weight.

Packing: The poles break down to short lengths that are easy to pack. The stuff sack provided is grossly over-sized. I suppose you could put the footprint in there as well.

Set-up: Easy. No pushing poles through sleeves required. Do it once at home but by the 3rd time no brain power required.

Quality: Quite good. The poles and hubs are well designed and sturdy. The fabric seems quite thin but is actully robust in practice. I pitched the tent over a sharp sapling not noticing it until morning on one occasion. The Tent floor held up well to this challenge. The pegs that come with are really works of art. They seem to be sculpted out of magnesium or similar material and anodized. Unfortunately, they are but 4-5 inches long. I believe I'll be replacing them with titanium ones before my next trip.

The HP version of the Hubba Hubba tent offers increased protection for cooler, windy nights, yet weighs less than the original. The freestanding structure is a snap to set up, and offers a very comfortable haven for 2 adults. The features include 2 doors and 2 vestibules which is great for gear storage and late night exits when nature calls. The handy gear loft helps keep the interior clutter free. Overall this is a very comfortable,lightweight, liveable backpacking tent suitable for all but the worst winter conditions.

I purchased an extra long sleeping bag as a Christmas present for my grandson who is going kayak tripping June 2010. I also purchased this small synthetic sleeping pillow to go with it. It is pretty small and one might want to fold it in half to get more of a pillow effect, but my grandson thought it was great. We were able to get the pillow into the waterproof duffel bag with the sleeping bag. I was pleased with the product.

The picture for this product shows a rectangular, plush-looking pillow. What is inside is a fairly flimsy SQUARE pillow. About the only nice thing I can say about this pillow is that it folds up into a nice tight bundle. Once you open it up, it becomes a very flat square pillow. Airing it out a while puffs it up a bit, but it's still a square. Skip this one.. it's not worth the price.

This is good pillow for backpacking. This will not substitute for your pillow at home, and was not designed to do so. It is light, easy to carry, and takes us little space, which is what it was designed for. Try to remember to unpack the pillow, and leave it unpacked, for as much time as possible, prior to your trip. This will keep the material expanded as much as possible prior to your trip. If you pack it up, just prior to your trip, it will remain easier to use, and expanded as much as possible

when you go to use it. If you are camping out of a car, truck, or RV, take your pillow from home, and be comfortable. If you cannot afford/do not want the extra 3 or 4 pounds of weight, and the space to haul a regular pillow in your backpack, because you are hiking 6 or 8 miles a day with a backpack, take this pillow. If you are cheap/smart and/or frugal on space, buy a nice pack bag, put your clothes in it, and use it as a pillow, since you have to carry your clothes anyway. Try not to put the old socks on the outside of bag, near your head!
