i'm not very good with setting up tents or even repacking them, but this one is incredibly easy. and it packs up small. add that it's lightweight and it's a really good backpacking tent. it's more like a one person tent though. for one person there's plenty of room for you and your pack. you kinda have to squat to get into it, but pack an extra trash bag and use it for a doormat. no worries.

Having not camped since I was a kid (some 30 or so years ago), I was taking a cross country motorcycle trip with some friends. We decided to camp on evenings where there was no chance of rain, after all, riding in the rain is OK, but a dry bed at night is better.
Anyway, I'm 5' 11" and about 235#, I fit into the tent, couldn't imagine anyone else in there with me. More vents would be nice, as condensation built up through the night. If I touched the side walls, I got a little wet. The front guy wire is in the way a bit entering, as you must enter feet first.
If you were camping in a dry area, this tent would be great because of it's packing size, it's super small and light. But on the Great Lakes, it seems to get clammy as the fog rolls in.
Realistically, it served it's purpose for that particular trip, saved a bunch of money on motels, but am looking to upgrade to a dome tent for more room and ventilation.
With that being said, my upgrade will probably cost 4 times more than this one, possibly more. So if cash is tight, it's worth $20.

I pulled out of the box, went on an over night hike. The setup of this tent is clumsy and did not like the single sting in front of the little door. During the night I needed to place remove slack from the front line of the tent, while placing some taunt on the string it ripped the entire lining down the front.
It did not handle the elements very well compared to other tents.

Well, first of all, this is NOT a 2 person tent... I'm a 6'1" 200lb guy and sleeping in this tent would've been a claustrophobe's worst nightmare. But then again, for 20 bucks, the quality/size and overall expectations I should have had for it were met. The tent packs up incredibly small and is very lightweight. However, it is a bit of a trick to get in the thing; I had to do this kind of reverse-crawl in a pushup position to get in, which was good fun to my friends at my expense.
You could get in head first, but there are no vents at the reverse end and it gets pretty tight down there. Like other reviewers have said, the front tie-down is completely in the way of the entrance, even if you tie it off at a 45 degree angle to one side. Make sure you tie those straps down tight, if the tent drawstrings slack, it will collapse. The first night this tent ended up being a nylon sleeping bag shelter. It'd also be nice if there were more vents; it gets moist in there (I know, gross).
I didn't have any qualms about the build quality really, but I don't think this would be a lifetime investment. It may perform well in wind as it has a relatively low profile and doesn't catch wind all that well. I camped out at Catalina Island in 65-70F overnight temps, so I didn't have to worry about weather so much.
Bottom line, if you're someone who doesn't want to pull a ninja sideshow to get in their tent, this ain't the tent for you.

Obviously the price appealed to my and you get what you pay for. The first time used was in the rain, seams all leaked. Just not worth it.
