"Hard to collapse, doesn't work in wind, too hot" 2009-11-29
By OaktonMom (Oakton, VA)
Very disapointed with this tent - would not buy again:

* Easy to set up; but very difficult to take down - takes two adults

* To short for adults to sit in (no idea how the 'models' in the photo do it?); definitely no room for adults to sit on beach chairs.

* Tent stakes are flimsy and don't hold

* Even weighted down with sand was practically airborne with the lightest of breeze. And yet....

* Terrible ventilation - gets way too hot.

We took to the beach on a cool morning with a light beach breeze, thinking our daughter could nap in the tent. Definitely not - it kept flying up, and it was way too hot after only a few moments in the tent. We tried again in the spring on a windless soccer field and it was equally hot in no time. I can't even imagine on a 90s+ day. In short, if you plan to use this in spring/summer/fall anywhere with a 5mph+ wind, forget it.

Quality of the case, fabric, etc seems fine but the construction just doesn't work at all for a summer beach tent.

"60 second Set Up and Take Down" 2009-10-27
By ActiveMom (Riverview, FL)
I love this tent! I took this on a beach vacation with my 1 year old. It tooks 60 seconds to set it up and take it down which is a plus when you have a toddler walking around near the water. It is roomy for 2 adults and a little one. Even on the breezy days the tent stayed put with the help of the provided stakes. I kept cool in the Florida sun. I plan to use it when we go for all day park outings or bike rides because it is lightweight and easy for me to carry. One caution, follow the take down instructions carefully so you do not damage the tent poles.

Good value for the money.

 "Great tent" 2009-08-14
By Nicholas R. Roux (New Jersey)
I strongly recommend this tent. We bought this tent for our 3 month old to rest in while we were on the beach. It is extremely easy to put up (it can be done in 30 seconds.) It works well on sunny days and we also used it on a very windy day and it held up to the wind without any problems. Don't waste your money on a cheaper tent that has to be put together. This one provides protection from the sun, easy set up and it is extremely light to carry in the bag that is included. The extra money you pay for this one is well worth it.

 "I recommend" 2009-08-07

Perfect for families (we were two adults and two children). We were completely satisfied with this purchase. Really could not be any easier to setup or breakdown. Wind was never an issue (we are in South Carolina, USA), we didn't even bother with filling the side pockets with sand; staking worked just fine. The door flap stakes down for a "porch" so our one year old was able to crawl in and out of the sun (the four year old never set foot in it). And when you get ready to leave you can just lift the tent and dump any sand, crumbs out. It is easy to carry in its bag; biked with it on my back with my four year old in tow.

"Love this tent, worth the money" 2009-08-06
By Melissa Farley (nj)
This tent is great. Its so easy to pop up and put back that we use it all the time. The beach, the house, the backyard, you name it, we've used the tent for it!!!! It is roomy, I am 5'9 and my husband is 6'1 and we both fit in it with my 2 and 3 year old. The 2 and 3 year old can also nap in it together which is nice. Its very stable against the wind of the beaches here in Jersey and I never even had to use the stakes just the sand pockets(which are awesome by the way). I just used another reviewers suggestion and brought a bunch of gallon size ziploc bags and filled them with sand to make it a bit less messy. Let me end this by saying I am not tent or outdoors savvy AT ALL. This tent was a breeze for me to operate and I can do it quickly. I do suggest trying it out in the house first so you know what to do at the beach. I LOVE THIS TENT !!!!
