I purchased two sets of these thinking they would be good anchors....save your money and go with a different anchor like the ones from REI. The plastic clips are terrible so do not use them. The line is also very small, less then half the size of other anchors.

I used this for the 1st time yesterday and the plastic hooks used to attach it to the tent llne stretched and released the line allowing my tent fly over. Don't use those hooks; tie a bowline knot instead. In fact, don't trust anything plastic on this thing.
The material for the stake looks fine and burying it 10" in beach suger sand would be enough to keep it from coming out without digging it up. However, the line is about half as thick as the nylon tent line I attached it too, so i am not very sure about the strength.
I attached it to a Coleman 15 x 15 GeoSport Screen on Wrightsville Beach, NC with 10-20 mph winds.
