 "More Like 7x7 = Toy Size" 2010-06-14
By ALLTONE (The West Coast)
First, quality is fine - better than expected. The finish and connectivity of the poles has certainly been improved since the last one I ordered. Super tight top is still a feature, which is important for the occasional rain. These are the only arbors I've had that can handle the occasional storm without the covers collecting water, and we use then for garden canopies.

But it's tiny. The so-called 10x10 measurement is a mystery, with the legs spread I get 9.5x9.5 and top where you expect the coverage is a merely 7x7. It looks like a toy arbor for kids. The people they show sitting inside in the picture must be wee little people - very misleading. Unless you need a small, toy-like arbor you'll have to find bigger, a real 10x10 or 12x12.

 "Fit our needs perfectly!" 2009-09-10
By Beth Dempe
We were very happy with the arbor. It was easy to put up and perfect for the beach! I would definitely recommend it!

 "Worth the money" 2008-08-25
By C Smith (upstate NY)
Quick delivery.Directions were clear & easy 45 minutes to put up with one person, light weight material stands up in light rain & wind. Poles and cover are very light weight, sping retention. Worth the money for short nice weather camping or picnic shelter.

 "NOT 10 x 10 AT ALL!" 2008-08-04
By Chris Stricker
NOT 10 x 10 AT ALL! Shy of 10 Feet on every side by 1 Foot! Poles are flimsey!

Green is not ONLY green-has two green and two white top panels.

Really was looking for ALL green! Misleading.

"Great for shading kids pool!" 2008-06-09
By Carrie M. Hartley (Jefferson, Ohio United States)
I just purchased this arbor to shade my kids 10 foot pool, and I love it! Easy to put together, sturdy, we just had a bad thunderstorm, and I was unable to take the arbor down in time, with 50 plus m.p.h. winds and hail, the arbor did not budge!!!!!

 "Good screen house, sub-standard tie-down rope" 2009-10-26
By J. Keyes
We have been very pleased with our screen house. It has withstood some pretty good rain storms so far.

The first of two suggestions I'd make would be to be prepared to replace all the tie-down rope. The rope that came with the screen house just disintegrated within the first two months (August and September) of it being up. We would see wear and then just watch it snap or fall apart in our hands. We went out and bought new 1/8" nylon rope (higher quality, larger diamter) to replace it. My second suggestion would be to get some "door-draft snakes" or other weighted objects to hold the flaps down. The bottom edge has a flap that rests on the ground or grass to prevent bugs, especially flying ones from sneaking inside under the bottom edge of the screens. We've found that they could stand to be weighted down to ensure the wind doesn't just lift the side and welcome the bugs in. Staking each side at it's mid-point also helped with this just didn't completely solve the problem. Some scrap fabric and small pebble-like rock from the local home-improvement store has been a decent solution for us.

Overall we are quite happy with the new addition to our back yard.

 "Screen Queen" 2009-10-03
By Dennis K. Taylor
This is the best screen tent ( now referred to as an "arbor" ) of the several I have owned through the years. This tent goes up very easily by one in less than 5 minutes. The design elements are well thought out; all parts fit quickly and well. The tent, when up, fits tightly and provides solidity in wind and blowing rain. There is no gapping along the bottom edges due to excellent fit and an inside lip of tent fabric, a nice touch. This is a quality purchase at a great price. The elements actually fit in the storage bag after use.

 "Camping on Maui" 2009-09-12
By Brian C. Santos (Maui, HI.)
I was pleasantly surpise with this screen tent for the price. It was assembled/disassembled easily. Although I used my own tent stakes. I never use tent stakes provided with tents that I purchase. I use 10" galvanized nails that I purchase from Home Depot. The tent zippers worked very well. We had some windy days and wet nights. The tent stood sturdy in the wind. As I expected some things would get wet because it is a screen tent. The top of the tent though needs some water proofing. It did leak a little in some of the more heavy rains. So the stuff that I placed in the middle of the tent did get a little wet. Other than that it is a great product for the price and I would recomend this to others.

 "Very disappointed" 2009-08-31
By kd (Seattle, Washington)
I purchased this product for a camping trip in the pacific northwest. The directions were very difficult to understand and we simply had to follow the pictures on the box. This shelter was to complement our tent at our site in the case of rain. We were informed that it was waterproof which was definitely a misrepresentation. The seams are not waterproofed and the tent leaked within an hour of having set it up. The rain was not even very heavy and would be described as a light drizzle. The zipper was always stuck and very difficult to zip and unzip with one hand. Also, when the tent was assembled, we could not zip the zipper all the way down which allowed many mosquitos and bees into the shelter. We set up the shelter on a sandy tent site. The sand apparently was trapped inside one of the mechanisms into which one inserts the poles and we could not take it apart. All in all, the product was a great disappointment and I would never recommend it for camping.

"OK Screen tent for the money" 2009-08-31
By D. Ingram (Japan)
I gave this product a three because of the materials. This screen tent is made of fairly cheap materials. It would not stand up to any severe weather. Also I think the zippers on the doors will end up ripping after a few uses. the first time using it was on a camping trip and we ended up with severe rain the first night. Of course it was not meant to be waterproof so everything inside got wet but that was to be expected.

The good points to it are the ease of setting it up and it's size. It took me and my wife less than 15 minutes to get it set up.

If you buy this for shade and to keep the bugs out and you use it in normal weather it will work OK for you. But this is definitely not something you will be able to set up and leave it up all summer.

 "Screen Arbor" 2009-12-07
By A. Verdugo (CA USA)
I like this item, I've had one just like it in the past. Some of the poles did not connect properly, they had to be attached with something to hold them together. Otherwise, it was ok.

"It didn't even last for two months!" 2009-08-28
By Lynne (Ohio)
I ordered this screen arbor June 18, 2009 to go around a kiddie pool for my child to protect against bugs and to provide shade.

It was easy to assemble and looked nice.

Not even two months later three of the ropes that tied down the tent to stakes needed replaced as they had snapped, one of the top panels has fallen apart (I am assuming the "sun rot" I have been reading about in other reviews), and the corners where the metal pieces you tie the tie downs to are attached are coming apart from the tent.

A poor quality waste of money!

 "just cheap screen house" 2009-07-23
By J. KOH (ny, usa)
pro : cheap, easy assembly, looks like waterproof

cons : cheap material, some pole doesn't fit, big mesh

Before this screen house, I got 14 by 12 screen house at Sams club by swissgear which was very good, well made and good price. I felt it was to big for us and returned it. The second one was by greatland at nearby target store. The quality was much poor than the swissgear's. Finally,

I looked at the reviewes here and bought this one. I was happy about the cheap price. The pole looks likes steel which is easily get rust and some of them I cannot plug it in. I tried to bent them and manage to fit in. The screen mesh is lage compared to ordinary mesh of any tent. The roof material is same thing as a tarp and look like water proof which is good thing. The carring bag is big and nice. In my point of view, this is just a cheap screen house not better worthy than the money. You cannot expect quality of coleman or Eureka for sure.

 "D. Hauck, Michigan" 2009-07-10
By Diana M. Hauck
What I did not like: The directions said that I needed to water proof the seams else they would leak because of the stitching: why did not the manufactor do this? On initial setup: One of sections of poles had a small dent that did not allow me to in sert the other pole in it; one of the sections of poles had been scraped and had rust on it and 1 1/2 inches of screening had come loose from the center strip. I can live with and or fix these items but I'm not so pleased.

What I did like: I received it in a timely fashison it was easy to put up by myself. I liked the storage case that came with it. It meets my basic needs.
