My 2 children aged 11 and 13 each received one of these coleman X32 sleeping bags as a gift. On a recent camping trip night time temps got into the upper 30s. Even though this is supposed to be a 32 degree bag, it did not perform as its name suggest. Even with a fleece liner, both of my kids were still cold during the night. This bag is more like a 40+ degree sleeping bag.



Besides the comfort rating being misleading, the bag has a good design and the inside liner is very comfortable. The inside of this bag is like a nice soft blanket.



For being made in china, the price is a little high.

I cant wait to take this to the Sespe....Light easy to set up and a great deal from Amazon. With Amazon Prime I got this in 2 days. Waterproof as heck and perfect for 1.



NOW THAT I HAVE USED THIS TENT HERE IS MORE OF A REVIEW.



It is advertized on Amazon with a vestibule ground sheet that zips on and off. But it doesn't come with one. So I called coleman this morning and the Rep said it is Coleman's fault as he explained..... " we send out info with the original design specs (ie Vestibule ground cloth) to our retailers. But that Coleman never built this tent with a Ground cloth. So it is our (Coleman's) fault"

I have been an outdoors-man for some time and I am particularly happy to have found this tent. For the money, it is everything I could want in a tent. It fits inside my hiking backpack right next to my sleeping bag. It is lightweight, fast and easy to setup, comes with a repair kit, and everything fits back in the bag for once. I was considering a few other tents when I actually got a chance to see this one on the trail at Red River Gorge. I bought it as soon as I got home from that trip. I have used it 4 times this summer and I have found no problems with it. It was a little cold the one morning when the frost was on the outside, but I had a good bag. I really enjoy this tent.

This is an excellent tent. I have used it and am very satisified. I am a Scoutmaster and considering ordering this tent for my troop use. It could fit two scouts, but only one adult in my opinion. I would use it for our backpacking trips only, since it is light to carry. We have large three person tents that I would have the scouts use for camporees and summer camp.

This tent has the room for two people plus gear. A well thought out pole design strongly supports a heavy water proof,well ventiled fly. Alittle heavy for carrying around mountains but it sure will hold to any weather it encounters. Weight is a little compromise for the way this tent and corners are reinforced. only other con is i would like to see a few more tie downs. other than that this is one stout tent . Oh and one other misconception, this is a FREE STANDING tent!!!

You can get this tent a whole lot cheaper at the Coleman online outlet at their website. That's where they sell the products they don't manufacture anymore but still have in inventory. I got mine for seventy.





I just received mine yesterday and I haven't camped in this exact tent yet, but as soon as I do try it out I'll give a field review of it. However I HAVE camped in one owned by a friend before and it held up to some pretty foul weather with no problems at all. Plus, for the price, I don't know how you can beat it!



The rainfly is great and features two good sized "kickstand" vents in the top rear, great for keeping it cooler when you're stuck in the rain during the hot months. Doesn't turn into a sauna with those vents.



My only real gripe is the "Integrated groundsheet that can be zipped on and off". Mine didn't come with one. There's no zipper anywhere near the floor either, so it doesn't even look like it was meant to have one. Not a big deal, as I always make a custom ground sheet for all my tents anyway. Having the integrated ground sheet would have been nice, but not really a deal maker or breaker in my decision to purchase this tent.



The front vestibule does zip on and off however. You could remove it to lighten your load a little, but I plan on having it attached all the time for the protection, privacy and storage.



The poles are VERY nice. I love aluminum poles as opposed to the fiberglass poles.



There's a pretty fair amount of room on the inside as well. It's a two man, but I consider it a one man with room for some stuff. I can easily sit up and move about. Not claustrophobic at all. With the fly off, there's plenty of mesh for stargazing and catching a breeze. Two decent sized storage pockets on either side are nice, too.



Tent also comes with a handy little repair kit. Nice of them I suppose.



One more gripe that I forgot about: I don't like the pole sleeves on this (or any other) tent. I would much rather just use clips than have to fiddle around with pole sleeves. They just snag and make you mad.



But all in all, and especially for the price I got, I think this tent is a real winner.

 "AWESOME tent! Best I've ever had!" 2009-09-29

First off, let me tell you I'm a Boy Scout, and I used this on a recent campout. That campout was not your ordinary campout, it rained 2 to 3 inches during that time, which is not very ordinary. However, I was in this tent, and it stayed remarkably dry while other campers had an inch or so of water in their tent.

While we were setting up our tents, it started raining. But, because this tent is so easy and fast to set up, I had it set up before a drop of rain had fallen in it.

I stored my gear in the porch (there's some other fancy name for it, but whatever), and it also stayed really dry.

Speaking of gear, I stowed a bunch of it in a handy little pocket in the head of the tent, which I really turned out loving.

My favorite part about this tent is that the rainfly is an inch or so away from the mesh in some places, so the condensation would stick on the rainfly instead of on the walls of my tent like in my other tent, a mammoth 3 man.

The only thing I don't like about this tent is that you really can't move in and out of it at lighting speeds like in an average 2 to 3 man dome tent, as with this tent you have to go throught the rainfly and the mesh.

Another nice thing about this tent is that when I pack it its bag, there's still room for my ground cloth! Hooray! I love that. However, I did have to make my own ground cloth. That was easy, though.

Since I've bought this tent, they've renamed it, which makes no sense; the old name was better.

Anyywayyy, this is the best tent I've ever had!

POLES: Nice and light. It's practically impossible to err with these poles and they nearly assemble themselves.

PEGS: A funny thing to comment to on, but I found them to be strong and lightweight. I was surprised with their quality and Coleman includes the correct amount to properly stake out the tent (not always the case with more costly tents).

VESTIBULE: Basically for boots and that's about it.

MESH: Pretty perfect. I like to stargaze and this tent gives as nice an opportunity as you could ever want.

RAINFLY: Although there are advantages to a brightly-colored fly, I really like the color of this one and it works. It also employs my favorite kind of buckles for securing to the tent.

SIZE / WEIGHT: Here is the real beauty of this thing. It's packed size is a mere 18X7 and it only weighs 2 1/2 pounds!

DISCLAIMER: Some of the reviewers over 6ft tend to comment that this tent is too cramped. That may be. I am a smallish adult so it works beautifully for me.
