My first time taking the Sirius 3 tent out was to Crater Lake national Park, the campground just down the mountain. It was july, and a surprise snowstorm hit us in the middle of the night (What a shocker coming from Texas in summer to a snowstorm!). Brought the vestibules in tighter to the sides of the tent, kept the heat in, without causing a condensation problem.
Trip #2 was a paddling trip in Sea Rim State Park prior to Katrina, Rita, Ike and all that destruction wiped it off the map. Hot, muggy Texas coast with strong winds off the gulf all night long was no match for this tent. Stood like a rock on the platform.
Spring break all (south of Heaven) breaking loose storm at Lake Somerville Trailway found that if you are REALLY chummy, 4 people can stay dry in this tent when some friends Eureka tent failed on them in the middle of the night...
I've been an avid outdoorsman for 30+ years, had exposure to all manner of tents from improvised lean to's based on hiking sticks and a poncho, to a 10x20 Swiss Gear Taj Majal. The Sierra Designs Sirius 3 tent is far and away my favorite tent of them all. I have a nice solo tent, but still prefer the Sirius 3 on solo hikes for the amount of room and storm worthiness it gives me.
Another reviewer mentioned how small this tent was, and that it was a 2 person tent. They MUST have been reviewing the Sirius tent, and NOT the Sirius 3. I am NOT a small man, and I find the Sirius 3 roomy...

Very easy to setup , even for me who is first time user.
Use many times in yellow stone / grand teton/ grand canyon. No any problem.
It's two person tent , but seems little bit small for me and wife .
