Double layer offset, differential cut construction eliminates cold spots. Flip Over Hood allows users to flip the hood inside out giving the option of a flat hood or a fully contoured hood. Easy Access Drawcords with Barrel Lock Closures permit closure of drawcords on hood and storm collar. The cords are either flat or round, allowing users to easily adjust storm collars and hoods in low light situations. Hook and Loop Closures provide firm closure of the bag and prevent zippers from separating or opening. Anti-Snag Zipper Protection is sewn along the draft tube and zipper to ensure reliable zipper operation. Internal Collars are baffles sewn to the liner, used to prevent heat loss from the neck and shoulders. I am 5'6" with a slim build and found regular (82") mummy bags to be too large and heavy for backpacking. The extra space left room for cold air to freeze me at night. With just enough room to wiggle, the bag is the right size for me. It is soft, warm, light-weight, good materials and well-constructed. I plan on using it backpacking during spring and fall so it should be just the right warmth. It was a good price with no tax or shipping, so the bag got the nod over most outdoor shop bags.

It has been many years since I stopped backpaking. I wanted a sleeping bag that would keep me warm and was tough as nails. This bag is not for woosey tofu eating backpakers, (like I used to be). The outside shell is tough waterproof heavy canvas, and the bag would keep you sleeping like a baby on the Polar Ice Cap. This is the most serious sleeping bag I have ever seen in my life. Warm and tough and soft and comfy. I bought a canvas tent with this and it would withstand a storm on an alien planet. If the end of the world comes this bag is what you want. It is extra long also. Forgot to mention that.

I haven't had a chance to sleep in any -30 temperatures yet, but at 35 it keeps me toasty warm. There is plenty of room to stretch out, the flannel lining is soft and comfortable. It's nice and quiet, none of that annoying rustling you get with a nylon bag. The zippers are heavy duty metal and don't snag like some bags do. It is a pretty big bag, and would advise getting something else if you are back packing, but if you are car camping or have a quad runner to haul it around it is a great bag. Put it on top of a Teton XXL cot and you will be a happy camper!

I purchased an extra long sleeping bag as a Christmas present for my grandson who is going kayak tripping June 2010. I also purchased this small synthetic sleeping pillow to go with it. It is pretty small and one might want to fold it in half to get more of a pillow effect, but my grandson thought it was great. We were able to get the pillow into the waterproof duffel bag with the sleeping bag. I was pleased with the product.

The picture for this product shows a rectangular, plush-looking pillow. What is inside is a fairly flimsy SQUARE pillow. About the only nice thing I can say about this pillow is that it folds up into a nice tight bundle. Once you open it up, it becomes a very flat square pillow. Airing it out a while puffs it up a bit, but it's still a square. Skip this one.. it's not worth the price.

This is good pillow for backpacking. This will not substitute for your pillow at home, and was not designed to do so. It is light, easy to carry, and takes us little space, which is what it was designed for. Try to remember to unpack the pillow, and leave it unpacked, for as much time as possible, prior to your trip. This will keep the material expanded as much as possible prior to your trip. If you pack it up, just prior to your trip, it will remain easier to use, and expanded as much as possible

when you go to use it. If you are camping out of a car, truck, or RV, take your pillow from home, and be comfortable. If you cannot afford/do not want the extra 3 or 4 pounds of weight, and the space to haul a regular pillow in your backpack, because you are hiking 6 or 8 miles a day with a backpack, take this pillow. If you are cheap/smart and/or frugal on space, buy a nice pack bag, put your clothes in it, and use it as a pillow, since you have to carry your clothes anyway. Try not to put the old socks on the outside of bag, near your head!
