"Not worth my money" 2010-01-17
By K. Byars (LaGrange, GA USA)
My cots (I bought 3 of them) were also blue. They were made from this plastic-ish material, and the first time they were used we realized we made a bad choice. One cot ripped when my 10 year old daughter laid down on it (no where near 500 pounds!). After that weekend, I tried to sew the cot back together, but the material just tears if you try to sew it. Another cot has lost its leg, and we had to use a plastic crate to keep it from tipping over. We have used 2 of the cots 3 times and one of them twice, and already 2 of them need to be replaced. The ends of the cots are easily lost, and the cots do NOT want to go back into their cases very easily.
I will be buying new cots before our next event, and it WON'T be these.
"This was "ALMOST" as item ordered" 2009-11-05
By Edwin Galarza
Though I did get a cot of sorts, it's not what is pictured.
Mine is BLUE, and defently NOT the item in the picture.
I choose to keep it because it's a bigger pain to me to try to return it.
...so live & learn, call the people up if possible or e-mail, CONFIRM that
what we'll get in return is the SAME item as shown.
"Did not live up to 500 LB capacity" 2009-10-24
By Marlene Durr (Crittenden KY USA)
I bought this for my husband. He weighs about 300 lbs and I was confident it would work for him because it was supposed to have a 500 lb capacity. He used it 2 times. The second time he used it the cot collapsed under him
This was the biggest waste of money I have ever seen. I won't buy from this site again.
"A cot built to last" 2009-06-29
By Craig Dombey (Prescott, AZ)
I got to use my new cot for the first time this weekend and, I must say, I was impressed. The frame is made of aluminum rectangular tubing that folds into a compact, easily stored, package. The sleeping surface is heavy duty and made to last. When fully assembled (it took about 2 minutes)the cot is VERY taut - you could easily bounce a penny off of it. The only minor issue was the stiffness of the new cot - which made it somewhat difficult to get the end struts in place - I am a big guy and I had to strain to get the second one to seat.
This cot should last for years, is well made and easy to store.
"GREAT SELLER (PRODUCT SO-SO)" 2009-06-18
By Glenn Howard (Portola, CA United States)
Well recvd. two of these and the first fell to the floor with minumal weight FLAT AS A PANCAKE. Now I not a lite weight but it should have held at least half the advertised weight. Call BP Medical that day and was instructed to try second cot... worked GREAT!!!!!! Call BP medical back and they sent me out another (WITH A UPS CALL TAG!) within 3 days. I explained I was going to want to use them BEFORE the standard shipping would have got them to me. They (BP) said they would get a second out right away. WELL I recvd. the new one they day I was leaving to go camping, put it together, and it works GREAT. What EXCELLENT customer service. I would recommend these guys to my MOTHER, YA I love my mother, and will do business with them again. The product on the other hand... A LITTLE SHAKEY. Could use a brace down the center to keep the whole thing from moving. I am going to make braces for both of mine out of 1"x1" pine, that should do the trick. THANKS AGAIN for your EXTRA effort BP MEDICAL!!!
P.S. Shipping is a bit high :)
