 "DOA" 2010-03-25
By J. Foster (Northwest Arkansas)
Dead on Arrival. After installing 3 new AAA batteries the light would not turn on. I then tested the batteries and found them OK, verified that installation was proper and tried numerous times to turn it on without success. I suspect a faulty switch. It's a cute little light in daytime but I sorta wanted one I could see in the dark. I went through Amazon.Com to send a message to the supplier, JM Group, to see if I should return it but after a week no response.

wish it had ac cord, batteries on high only last a few hours no good for my purpose, won't go overnight.......good for a few hours outdoors.......Wenzel LED Fan Light

"It hardly puts out any air" 2009-08-18
By S. Crise
I can't recommend this fan simply because the output is so weak it doesn't actually get any thing done. Well if i had to say some thing nice about it that would be it has a nice LED light in there. So in conclusion don't waste your money on this product get a better reviewed one instead.

"Simply the BEST battery operated fan" 2009-07-23
By R. Perry
If you are going camping in the heat, this is the fan for you. The lights are an added bonus. Blows strong gusts and the battery life is amazing. I am a huge fan of this fan. You won't be disappointed.

"Wenzel LED Fan Light A Winner" 2009-07-14
By Joan F. Jones (LUBBOCK TX)
After an electrical outage in our neighborhood for two days I knew I wanted fans that would work on batteries. I researched and then found these on Amazon. I ended up buying 4 and pleased with the settings, the wind, the light and gave one to a friend and have one for my sister. One is a tiny bit noisy but lightly and I just love them. They are also portable and very well made. I am very pleased with the price, size, portability and weight.

 "Hard to use" 2009-10-21
By Karen Story (Kirkland WA)
The clip is very hard to open. I have to use two hands. A child or older person probably couldn't use it.

The light isn't strong enough to illuminate a whole page of a book.

I found it only useable if I held it. If I clipped it to the book I had to keep swivelling the beam to be able to read the book.

I'd suggest holding out for something better.

 "Great little light" 2007-10-23
By MommyRabbit (Alaska)
My only complaint is my kids won't sleep at night because they are under the covers reading!

 "Garbage." 2009-12-31
By M. Shipley (Apopka, FL USA)
My daughter dropped this from about a foot and a half on carpet and the thing scattered into half a dozen irreparable pieces.

Absolute garbage - don't waste your money.

"Dim, fragile, and poorly designed" 2009-12-07
By Samuel Van Oort
Received as a gift, and found 3 major problems soon afterward.

1)The lantern is very dim, even at the highest setting -- it's no brighter than a 25W bulb or a weak flashlight

2)Battery housing and knob to control brightness are very fragile -- my knob is broken and permanently at one setting, and I have had to glue the cracked battery housing together twice.

3)Light is not well dispersed -- it goes in a bunch of tiny spots outward from the LEDs, and you get yawning dim gaps when you hold it up.

All in all, an inferior product -- my next lantern will be a classic mantled naptha lantern.

 "Emerson 12 LED Lantern" 2008-09-15
By Xavier Ducats (Seattle, WA)
The lantern is bigger than I thought it would be, but not as bright. The light is harsh. The batteries should last far longer than the similar sized incandescent lantern I have, but I'd rather have more pleasant lighting unless it was an emergency backup.

At least it doesn't hiss like the old Coleman gas lanterns.

 "Consumes Batteries When OFF" 2008-05-27
By Dean F. Marino (Michigan)
Bought two from Sportsman's Guide when they had them...

VERY bad - these units consume battery power while "OFF", in storage. When you need them for an emergency? The Batteries will be dead, unless you store the units empty.

 "dimmer knob" 2008-04-25
